Michael R. Blum is the Leader of the Labor Section and a member of the Litigation and Auto Dealership Sections. Mike is also an approved neutral arbitrator on the American Arbitration Association's Michigan Employment Panel.

Prior to joining Abbott, Nicholson, Quilter, Esshaki & Youngblood, P.C. in 1990, Mike was an investigator and trial attorney with the National Labor Relations Board. Mike lives in the Detroit area, is married, and has three children, two of whom are still at home and the oldest is in college.. His primary practice areas include labor and employment law and litigation. Mike received his B.A., with high honors, from Wayne State University in 1986. He has frequently given lectures on labor and employment topics, including speaking engagements for the Council on Education in Management and the Bernard Gottfried Memorial Labor Law Symposium. In addition, Mike has published articles on various topics concerning labor and employment matters for the American Society of Employers, Commercial Law Affiliates and the Labor and Employment Section of the State Bar of Michigan.

Michael holds an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating awarded attorneys by their peers.
